  • December 2019-20: NaviCare/SoinsNavi: A navigation centre for children and youth with complex care needs and their families in New Brunswick as Co-PI (Co-Pis: Doucet S. & Luke A.). New Brunswick Children’s Foundation [$50,000].
  • October 2019-20. Navigating your journey: A workshop presented by NaviCare/SoinsNavi Family Advisory Council as Co-Applicant [Co-Applicant: Luke A. and Principal Applicant: Doucet S.]. Royal Society of Canada (RSC), Atlantic Chapter [$5,000]. The event successfully took place on October 26, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 5 PM at the Lily Lake Pavilion in Saint John, NB.   
  • May 2018-19: CIHR-SPOR in PIHCI Knowledge Synthesis as Co-Principal Applicant/Investigator. Interventions to support transitions in care for children and families with complex health care needs in the community (Co-PIs: Doucet, S. from UNB Saint John, NB, et al.) [$62,700 funded 1:1 by CIHR and sevaral matching provincial partners from Atlantic Canada and beyond, including NBHRF].
  • December 2016-18: CIHR-SPOR-PIHCI Policies and program innovations that connect primary health care, social services, public health and community supports in Canada: A comparative policy analysis as Co-Applicant/Co-Investigator (Co-PIs: Haggertie, J. from McGill University, Québec, et al.) [$243,750 funded 1:1 by CIHR and 8 matching provincial partners, including NBHRF].
  • March 2016-2021 (extended to 2024): CIHR SPOR Network in Chronic Diseases as Co-Applicant. CHILD BRIGHT – Child Health Initiatives Limiting Disabilty – Brain Research Improving Growth and Health Trajectories (Co-PIs: Majnemer A., Miller S., Goldowitz D.; Co-Investigators: Several Canadian stakeholders across sectors [$25,000,000; funded 1:1 by CIHR ($12,500,000) and matching partners across Canada ($12,500,000), including NBHRF ($250,000)].        
  • March 2016-17: Royal Society of Canada (RSC) grant ($3000) as Applicant/Moderator (co-Applicants/Speakers: Doucet, S. + our research/clinical team in the Maritimes, Elkouby K. as a clinician from Montreal’s Saint Justine Hospital, QC, a NB parent, and a NB Youth). Mount A Breakfast Chat: Growing up with a complex health condition (this public community event took place on Saturday, Dec 3rd, 2016 at 9 AM at the Marshlands Inn, Sackville, NB. Thanks to all the participants!).

  • July 2015: CIHR Quick Strike SPOR-PIHIC operating grant as co-PI (co-PI in NB: Doucet S. & co-PI in PEI: Montelpare W. with a diverse team of researchers, trainees, decision makers, patient/family advisors, clinicians, and other stakeholders from NB and PEI). Project title: Children with complex health conditions: Let’s learn who they are and their needs to better serve them! (CIHR: $100,175).
  • July 2015-2020: CIHR-SPOR grant as co-Applicant. Creating a New Brunswick Strategic Patient Oriented Research Network for the Primary and Integrated Primary Health Care Innovations. NB Tripartite Leadership Team: B. Miedema, S. Doucet, M.A. Doucet, B. Green, J. Kingston, & J. Young; Several additional co-applicants and knowledge users across sectors ($1,000,000; funded 1:1 by CIHR & NBHRF). 
  • Dec 2014-Dec 2018: Donation operating grant from the New Brunswick Children’s Foundation to assist in the development of the New Brunswick Virtual Health Centre for Children as co-PI (co-PI: S.   • Sept 12-13: CIHR Café Scientifique as PI & Moderator, My body is simmering: Minimizing the inflammatory effects of stress and depression (Speakers: 1. Dr. Édouard Kouassi, pharmacist & Associate Professor, Department of Medicine and Medical Specialties, Faculty of Medicine, University of Montreal; Louis-H. Lafontaine Hospital & Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre, Montreal, QC; 2. Dr. Karl Looper, psychiatrist; Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry & Assistant Professor, Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University; & Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, QC) ($3,000). Note: This CIHR Café Scientifique that took place on Nov 19, 2012 in Sackville (NB) had a big turnout: 50 participants!
  • March 11-13: CIHR operating grant as PI (co-Is: Drs. M. Belanger, P. Kelly-Spurles, N. Letourneau, & M. Sermer). Maternal prenatal negative mood & infant stress and immunity: Could increased inflammation during pregnancy be the linking mechanism? ($88,888).  
  • Mar 09-11: Marjorie Young Bell Faculty Award as PI (# 31-1-505095) ($7,000).July 08-11: Marjorie Young Bell Start-Up Award as PI (# 48-1-595949) ($25,000).
